No7 Laboratories is a brand I have admired from a far for many years. I tend to be acquainted with their products at Birthdays and Christmas.
Every single skincare product I have tried I have always really liked, but with the ever growing landscape of beauty products I am quickly then off trying something new.
One product that did hold my attention and I did repurchase for many years was their Lift & Luminate Triple Action Serum.
So I was very excited to try their newly repackaged No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum.
*No7 Laboratories Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum £26 – 30ml:
Described as a serum that is clinically proven to reduce wrinkles. The lightweight formula is enriched with:
Matrixyl 3000 Plus™* – the star technology for helping to restore a more youthful appearance to your skin.
Retinyl palmitate is No7’s age-defying pro-retinol ingredient of choice. It supports the skin renewal process to reduce the key visible signs of ageing, while being mild enough to be suitable for sensitive skin.
Hyaluronic acid – for added firmness.
Patented antioxidant complex – to protect the skin against environmental stress.
Rice peptide and alfalfa complex – helps to preserve levels of collagen and fibrillin in the skin.
I feel it is crucial to share the ingredients as this serum has been highly acclaimed for over 8 years now. The combination of ingredients work.
No7 used an independent Government approved panel of 182 consumers to trial the serum, and the results were as follows:
- After 2 weeks skin looks younger.
- 4 weeks deep lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced.
- Results keep getting better with continued use.
- 80% of women said this serum provided the best ever anti-ageing results they had ever seen
- Following a 12 month clinical trial it’s now been proven to deliver anti-wrinkle results that get even better over time.
The serum is a white lightweight formula that spreads across the face generously, so only a small amount is needed. Instantly skin looks hydrated and feels smooth. For this reason it can be used morning and evening. It makes for a great primer too, as my foundation always applies and appears flawless whenever I use this beforehand.
I have been trialing this for 3 weeks night and day, and there is still a generous amount of product left. The scent is fresh, there is barely a scent there in all honesty, which I like.
I have around 3 fine lines on my forehead and after 3 weeks these have become a lot less visible. I looked in the mirror this morning and was shocked to see how much they had reduced..
It could be a factor of things, hydration levels, sleep or diet. But I genuinely believe that this serum has contributed to them appearing less prominent and less visible.
I have no complaints at all. If anything my love for this serum has reignited. It is a joy to use and to see such visible results so quickly, it will be a product I plan on repurchasing as according to the statistics it works even more so after continuous use.
The results so far have blew me away, I am hopeful for what is to come in the coming months.
It costs £26, so in my opinion incredibly purse friendly and I feel this would lasts 2 months using morning and evening.
*No7 Laboratories Resurfacing Skin Paste £18 – 50ml:
This is essentially a face mask that claims to smooth the skins surface and give it a more refined complexion.
It has a 10.5% blend containing Glycolic, Glucano-delta-lactone & Fruit Acids with skin soothing Liquorice to effectively exfoliate while being gentle on the skin.
The paste is a light orange shade with a beautiful invigorating citrus scent. It is a thick texture, and feels slightly sticky when applied. This sticky feeling subsides once applied to the face, and it feels like a cream mask would.
You are advised to remove after 15 minutes. Removal is really easy. I use a damp flannel and given the initial sticky feeling, it removes with ease and leaves the skin appearing hydrated and really smooth.
The reviews on Boots website also are really positive when it comes to this mask helping reduce the appearance of large pores and clearing spots. I do not suffer with large pores and whilst I have been trialing this product have managed be spot free, so unfortunately I can’t comment on this aspect.
But I really like this mask it is pleasant to use and my skin appears smooth, hydrated and glowing after each use.
*No7 Laboratories Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Eye Cream £18 -15ml:
The sister to the serum, the eye-cream is also supercharged by Matrixyl 3000 Plus, No7’s unique and most concentrated peptide technology to target deep lines and wrinkles. This formula is especially designed for the delicate area around your eyes, it claims to target troublesome wrinkles whilst visibly improving dark shadows and puffiness.
The formula is also enriched with Retinyl palmitate, No7’s age-defying pro-retinol ingredient of choice. It claims to supports the skin renewal process to reduce the key visible signs of ageing, while being mild enough to be suitable for sensitive skin.
The cream is a little thicker than the serum and has a slight stone colour tint to it. It feels incredibly smooth and lightweight around the eye area and sinks into the skin quickly. Only a little is needed as it spreads easily around the area.
Three weeks in and I am happy to report that darkness in the corners of my eyes is less prominent.
My under eye area does feel less heavy and puffy, and the formula is hydrating helping the skin to appear smoother.
I don’t have any deep wrinkles around my eyes at the moment, so unfortunately I can not comment on this aspect.
All in all the No7 products featured in this post get a huge thumbs up. Each product I have used I have noticed visible improvements and I am enjoying using each one.
No7 offers an affordable wide range of skincare to suit all skin types, and it is affordable and easily available online or at most Boots stores.
