It was inevitable that Pixi were going to launch a line based around their cult product Glow Tonic.
I have raved about my love for Glow Tonic for many years here on the blog, it is a product I use every day.
Pixi sent over an array of skincare from their new Glow range and challenged me to try all the products for 30 days and share my *Pixi Glow Story.
I was so excited to try each product and start the 30 day trial.
But before I dish the dirt and share the results, I thought I would give you a little rundown of each product – in the order that I have been using them.
*Pixi Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel £18 -135ml:
The cleanser is a light gel and I use around a 2p piece size.
I use this as my second cleanse, after I have removed all my make up with a milky cream based cleanser.
The gel glides along the skin with ease and doesn’t foam up or froth. The scent of Ginseng is invigorating and smells incredibly fresh and clean.
I apply the gel to the skin and massage my whole face (avoiding my eyes, for around a minute or two) I then remove with a wet flannel.
The cleanser contains:
•Ginseng that improves circulation and energizes the skin.
• Aloe vera that soothes and hydrates the skin.
I really like this cleanser, it is gentle on the skin and leaves my skin feeling taught and incredibly soft. A little goes a long way, and I feel I will get around 2 months using it each evening.
*Pixi Glow Tonic £10 – 100ml:
I have dry, dull skin and I use this tonic most mornings after I have washed and cleansed. I douse a cotton pad and wipe it all over my face. It feels refreshing, soothing and it sinks quickly into the skin leaving it feeling taught and smooth.
(Make-up always tends to go on so much more evenly too).
Enriched with 5% glycolic acid it lightly exfoliates the skin, by removing dead skin cells, in turn leaving skin appearing healthy, glowing and refreshed.
The fluid hydrates the skin, and the addition of Aloe Vera and Ginseng helps to soothe.
*Pixi Glow Tonic Serum £26 – 30ml:
The serum is a thick clear wet texture, and the smallest amount is needed as a little goes a long way. I have been applying 2 drops onto cleansed and toned skin. It feels cooling, hydrating and smooth on application.
It softens, refines and restores radiance for smooth and balanced skin.
*Pixi pHenomenal Gel £24 -35ml:
This has become one of my favourite skincare products.
It is an off white gel, and spreads across the skin flawlessly. It feels soothing, hydrating and immediately my skin feels unbelievable soft and supple.
This is a great morning moisturiser as it sinks into the skin so quickly and instantly perks it up. It is a soothing gel that helps to balance and stabilize skin’s pH.
*Pixi On the Glow £18 – 19g:
This was a product that had me very intrigued. I was a little confused about what it actually does. After visiting the Pixi website I gathered it is a multi-use product, that could be used on the face, body and hair.
It is formulated with a unique mix of Vitamin D2, gentle acids & vitamins to protect, treat and increase moisture level immediately & long term.
It contains:
•Ginseng – Revitalizes & balances.
•Glycolic Acid – Moisturises & renews.
•Vitamin D2 – Powerful antioxidant
I have really enjoyed using the product over the past 30 days. I love the packaging and it glides over the skin beautifully leaving a natural glow.
My favourite way to us it is on my forehead to help plump out fine lines. The results are instant.
I have been using each product of an evening for 30 days.
The following aspects have stood out so far:
- Skin is smoother, hydrated and plumper.
- Frown lines and pigmentation are slightly less visible.
- I haven’t had any breakouts in the 30 days, which is rare. Especially around a certain time of the month.
- Each product is incredibly long lasting, only a litle is needed of each.
- I have thoroughly enjoyed using each product, they have not irritated nor caused any skin concerns.
- The brand is cruelty free.
- Products are accessible and affordable.
