Over the past couple of years I have been slowly renovating each room in my house.
I now feel that each room is to my liking, and most of all functional, cosy and welcoming.
From a new kitchen to sprucing up my living room and bedroom, my bathroom is now the last project.
Oh and it is a big one!
I spend endless hours on Pinterest, sourcing inspiration and ideas.
My bathroom is pretty small, and I want to utilise the space in the best way possible.
I would like the whole area to be tiled in white or grey subway tiles, and would like it to have a Scandinavian theme.
I would like it to be minimal, rustic, yet with a modern twist.
When taking on any sort of renovation project like this, I have found that careful planning, good craftsman ship and good quality products are a necessity.
In the past I have sometimes cut corners and opted for the cheapest and fastest option. Then a year down the line, realised the layout and design wasn’t really functional, or to my taste.
Planning and preparation is key!
As space is limited and my bathroom is small, I am edging towards removing my bath and the dream would be adding an Insignia Shower Cabin
When I lived at my parents house they had a high-tech snazzy shower with a seating area in, and I loved it.
It had body jets and a steam enclosure and even though I adore the relaxing elements a bath brings, a shower always leaves me feeling invigorated, revitalised and refreshed.
I would really like an old style vintage vanity top style sink, and a white wooden ladder shelf to display all my beauty bits and bobs.
But I must admit my favourite part of any renovation is shopping for the accessories, and of course an excuse to hit Ikea so I can indulge in their veggie meatballs.
Do you have any house refurbishments on the horizon?
I would love to know, hit me up in the comments.
