From a professional make-up artist, to an amateur like myself. Charlottes step-by-step tutorials on her website and Instagram are always so helpful, with detailed tutorials showing ways to use each product. It includes product recommendations based on your skin tone, and tips and tricks in regards to applying the products in various ways.
The Starlight Palette:
This palette is packed with 4 cool toned metallic green and silver shades. On first appearance I thought the glitter appeared intense within the formula, and may feel uncomfortable and heavy on the lid But is is quite the opposite, it feels smooth and lightweight and the formula is creamy and buttery, a real joy to apply.
Whilst I wouldn’t use the whole palette at once to create a make-up look, each shade in my opinion is the perfect eye-lid topper, or eye-shadow to use alone.
It can appear delicate or striking dependant on the amount you apply. I find the best way to apply the shades is with my fingers. I apply matte eye-eyeshadow first and contour my socket, then I lightly swirl my finger in the pan and dab over my eyelid.
It leaves an eye-catching and statement finish, and is a simple but dazzling way to add a little sparkle to your eye make-up.
Bronze & Glow
A cult product that I have been desperate to try for a long time.
First off, the palette were the powders are housed is truly beautiful. A sturdy gold case with a ridge lined detail, and the CT logo located in the centre.
It has a large mirror inside, and the shades bronze and sculpt are in two large separate pans, also embellished with the ridge line detail
This is a palette I find very easy to use, I lightly define my cheekbones with the sculpt powder, and highlight the top of my cheekbones and it highlights and defines in a flawless and natural way.
Both powders are incredibly easy to blend, finally milled, pigmented and do not highlight pores or accentuate the skins texture.
The bronze shade is a warm subtle brown tan shade, and has a satin finish.
The highlight shade is a champagne beige shade, and even though it appears a little glittery and metallic in the pan, it doesn’t translate this way on to the skin – it leaves a subtle natural glow.
The combination of the two shades work wonderfully together, and I feel it is the perfect contour and highlight palette for fair skin tones. The amount of product in each pan is generous, so I do feel it would also last a very long time.
Pillow Talk Lip Liner:
As I have stated numerous times on the blog. I can’t be without Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Liner, (£16) it’s the only lip liner I have ever repurchased.
(Several times).
I adore the formula, it’s soft but firm so it glides along the lips with no tugging or pulling. As the pencil itself is robust it makes application very precise, and this aspect defines and helps the lips to appear fuller and more symmetrical. In a natural and flattering way.
The liner and lipstick featured below is described as a nude pink colour, and I feel it would suit the majority of skin tones.
Pillow Talk Matte Revolution Lipstick:
The 3D glowing pigments incorporated into the formula helps the lips appear fuller and luminous. The product feels very comfortable on the lips, nourishing, non drying, and the staying power is long lasting. It’s not as matte as let’s say the matte range at Mac, but i prefer this as if my lips are cracked, chapped or have any imperfections this formula does not highlight these issues.
They feel a lot creamier on the lips compared to most matte lip products on the market, these feel almost velvet.
Rock n Khol Eyeliner (Bedroom Black) :
This eye liner claims to make your eyes appear brighter and bigger.
The shade is very pigmented and a striking black colour.
The pencil texture is soft and the formula pigmented. I find a couple of swipes in my waterline more than enough. It doesn’t bleed from the waterline, and as the formula is so creamy you can smudge it with ease.
It stays put all day, and helps my eyes to appear brighter and more awake. I am so glad I have now tried it, as I think it will be replacing my current black eye pencil from this day forth.
The Charlotte Tilbury After Hours Look Set is any make-up lovers dream, I have really adored using every single product.
The set retails at £100, if you was to buy all the products separately it would cost in the region of £130, so it’s a really fantastic saving.
