Advent calendars have really took off in recent years, gone are the days when you only had the choice of a Cadburys or Nestle chocolate style one.
The market is a wash with different styles from beauty, lifestyle, alcohol, candles, books and as you have properly guessed from the title of this post, a teabag advent calendar.
Victoria Mae is a Belfast based surface designer specialising in printed illustration, she has combined this passion, and love for tea and since launching in 2012 Victoria Mae’s award winning designs have been featured in a number of high profile publications.
The *Victoria Mae Designs Tea Advent Calendar is handmade and hand-sewn and each individual envelope is a dated from the 1st of December to the 25th December.
There are a selection of flavours to choose from, and you have the option to mix and match or stick to a certain flavour like English Breakfast or the ever popular Tetley’s or PJ Tips.
If you or the recipient of this advent calendar is a little adventurous below is a run down of the flavour of teas to choose from:
- English Breakfast
- Earl Grey
- Indian Spice Chai
- Mint (spearmint)
- Jasmine Green Tea
- Cape Malay Chai
- Pure Peppermint
- Organic Green Tea and Honeybush.
The tea bags arrived house in a brown cardboard box with a simple red and white rope around.
There are an array of envelopes with different designs, ranging from more traditional images to quirky quotes and bright illustrations.
There are two options to choose from on the Victoria Mae website:
- Tea Advent with pegs and string
- Tea Advent without pegs and string
I feel displaying them on the string would make for a wonderful and unique Christmas decoration, as the envelopes are so beautifully designed and deserve to be shown off in all their glory.
If you have a relative or friend who is a tea lover, I feel this would be a wonderful gift to kick off the festivities and let a certain someone know you are thinking of them.
I am trying my best to source as many gifts from independent and small businesses this year, and Victoria Mae Designs has a wide range of collections of gifts for teachers, animal lovers, and wedding gifts.
