Candle time is upon us. (Yessss).
I must admit I don’t really burn candles in the Summer months.
They are something I associate with dark, snuggly nights.
*Annuk are a small independent company who offer an array of luxurious aromatherapy products, made with natural essential oils and other plant materials.
*Anuuk Aromatic scented candles are made with natural soy wax and essential oils. They are hand poured in the UK, and are presented in glass container with a metal lid.
The inspiration behind the products developed when the owner was a massage therapist in London, and noticed how stressed and tired most of her clients were.
She created a range of products drawing inspiration from nature, and ancient healing energies of plants.
My thoughts…
The candle was packaged beautifully in a black sturdy box, with a large ribbon around.
As I undone the ribbon, the box collapsed slowly and inside was black shredded cardboard to protect the glass from smashing.
The glass jar is filled with 210g of wax and has a 50 hour burning time. The glass felt super luxurious and weighty.
If you drop by these neck of the woods often, you will know black is my thing.
I absolutely adore the black glass jar, and the simple yet classy logo on the front.
It has a black ribbon around the candle and a silver metal lid.
I have burnt this candle around five times now, and the scent is so invigorating.
The three key essential oils are as follows:
Frangipani, ylang ylang, lime.
Ylang ylang oil helps to relax. Lime oil helps to rejuvenate and frangipani oil helps to purify.
What a wonderful concoction of essential oils to help relax and renew.
It has a fruity yet flowery scented aroma is uplifting, yet warming and the scent fills my whole living room after 20 minutes or so.
There is no doubt that this is a luxurious and expensive candle priced at £65, but if you have people in your life (or yourself) who like Jo Malone, Diptique and Neom candles then I feel they would absolutely adore this, as the quality of ingredients, packaging and aroma is on par.
You would also be supporting a small independent brand, which is something that in the past year or so has been at the forefront of my mind.
