*Tropic is a British skincare and cosmetics company that has caught my eye of late.
I was so excited to try their skincare products as *Tropic do not test on animals, and they pride themselves on only using the purest naturally derived ingredients, that are free from harmful toxins
Susie Ma the founder appeared on The Apprentice in 2011, and Lord Sugar was so impressed that he invested and become a 50/50 partner in *Tropic.
I have been trialing *Tropic Travel Essentials Set (£38) for two weeks now.
Included in this set is five of their award winning skincare products.
I feel this is a great little set to get a feel for the brand, and try an array of their products at a purse friendly price.
The Travel Essentials Set includes:
• Smoothing cleanser (50ml)
• Vitamin toner (30ml)
• Skin revive (15ml)
• Organic elixir (10ml)
• Lip love (10ml)
• Bamboo face cloth
This cleanser has won a number of beauty awards. It has a very luxurious feel, the texture is thick and it has a slight whipped feel to it.
It has a relaxing chamomile and eucalyptus scent, and it breaks down a full face of make-up with ease.
As it is so rich and nourishing, I would recommend using it of an evening.
It’s enriched with Vitamin C (anti-aging properties) and Green Tea extract (soothes and calms the skin).
It also contains Shea Butter and Shea Butter has so many wonderful benefits, from moisturising the skin to reducing inflammation.
This Vitamin Toner in a nut-shell, is a dream. It’s infused with rose water, Aloe Vera, and cucumber extract.
I find it is perfect to use of a morning, as it smells fresh and uplifting and light spritz wakes me up.
It feels incredibly soothing and hydrating on the skin. I spritz a little over my face before I apply my make-up, and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and taught. I also find my foundation applies more seamlessly.
I don’t suffer with large pores at the moment, but this toner is packed with vitamins and amino acids that help to balance PH levels and reduce pore size.
This Organic Elixir is packed with Rose Hip Oil, amino acids and anti oxidants.
Rose-hip Oil helps the skin in so many wonderful ways. It calms, and hydrates, it protects skin cells and it’s a natural source of Omega 3,6 and 9 which helps repair and regenerate damaged skin tissue.
If your skin feels rough, appears dull and lacks radiance then this product is going to transform your skin.
The Skin Revive is a day moisturiser it has a very creamy texture and feels soothing and nourishing when applied to the skin.
It packed with Aloe Vera Juice, Rose Hip Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Chamomile and an array of other natural plant based ingredients. It has a light citrus scent which is invigorating. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft. I tend to use this on make-up free days as it leaves my skin appearing healthy, radiant and healthy.
This lip balm is soy wax, and packed full of Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil, Macadamia Oil, Rose-hip Oil, Avocado Oil, Carrot Oil.
It has a beautiful citrus scent, and feels soft and light on the lips. It adds a light shine, and leaves my lips feeling smooth.
My first impressions of Tropic are really positive, the products are a delight to use, and I really admire the ethos of the brand.
In all aspects of life I am slowly trying to incorporate a more holistic and natural approach.
From my diet, beauty products and economically.
I am naturally shying away from products that are packed full of artificial ingredients, and companies who test on animals.
Because in this day in age, well it just isn’t necessary.
The use of plant based and vegan friendly ingredients within beauty products makes a lot of sense to me.
Natural vitamins, and plant based products are widely available and sustainable.
Scientifically, they are also the kindest and most beneficial ingredients to use on our skin.
