Happy Valentines Day, loves.
I can’t begin to tell you how excited i am to share this post with you all.
Charlotte Tilbury is one of my favourite make-up brands, her products are innovative, incredibly high quality and so luxurious. When ever i pick up a new CT product, it always feels like such a treat. The packaging is always exquisite, and i am yet to try a product that i didn’t adore.
The Magic Foundation and Colour Chameleons are just some of my favourites currently in my stash.
Today i will be sharing with you three lipsticks and five lip cheats (lip liners).
I have tried the K.I.S.S.I.N.G and Matte Revolution Lipsticks before and adore them. Before i get onto the shades and formulas, I wanted to touch on the price.
They cost £24 each, but i must say they are most definitely worth the splurge. I have had Velvet Underground (K.I.S.S.I.N.G) and Love Liberty & Amazing Grace (Matte Revolution) lipsticks for around 2-3 years now, and they are still going strong. These lipsticks are incredibly pigmented, high- quality and have an excellent wear time. Which makes them a worthwhile investment.
First up the stunning – *At Your Lip Service Set. (£60)
After the huge success of The Queen lipstick Charlotte has added two more to the collection: Legendary Queen and The Duchess, inspired by her love of the monarchy.
I thought i would give you a breakdown of the formulas as i adore them both, in their own way.
The formula of the K.I.S.S.I.N.G range is incredibly creamy and pigmented. They are packed with waxes and lipstick tree extract, which protects the lips from UV damage and pollutants. The finish of these lipsticks seem to be edging towards satin, but with a luminous creamy finish. The formula stays on for around 2-4 hours depending if you eat or drink. As the lipstick wears off and starts to fade, a light even stain is left behind.
The 3D glowing pigments make the lips appear fuller and luminous. The product feels very comfortable on the lips, nourishing, non drying, and the staying power is long lasting. It’s not as matte as let’s say the matte range at Mac, but i prefer this as if my lips are cracked, chapped or have any imperfections this formula does not highlight these issues.
They feel a lot creamier on the lips compared to most matte lip products on the market, these feel almost velvet.
The lasting time is a little longer than the K.I.S.S.I.N.G range, 3-5 hours dependant on if you eat or drink.
Again as the formula fades, it leaves a light stain behind.
Both formulas leave the lips appearing fuller and more plumped. A little niggle is both lipstick formulas tend to bleed a little, so applying a lip liner beforehand is a must.
The shades in the *At Your Lip Service Set are as follows:
(From left to right)
A new addition to the Matte Revolution range, and it is a neutral soft wine colour.
Is one of the best sellers from the Matte Revolution range, it was limited edition but not any more.(Yay)
It is a stunning cerise pink shade.
A new addition to the K.I.S.S.I.N.G family. It is a classy and sophisticated tea rose pink shade.
I swiped each lipstick across across my arm once. As you can see, they are super pigmented. Plus wowzers just look at them shades.
As i stated earlier a lip liner applied beforehand is a must to prevent bleeding. I can’t be without Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Liner, (£16) it’s the only lip liner i have ever repurchased.
I adore the formula, it’s soft but firm so it glides along the lips with no tugging or pulling. As the pencil itself is robust it makes application very precise, and this aspect defines and helps the lips to appear fuller and more symmetrical. In a natural and flattering way.
There are five new lip cheats (liners) that have been added to the range, and i can confirm the formula and finish is exactly the same as Pillow Talk.
The shades are as follows:
*Walk of Shame:
A berry rose shade.
A natural berry shade.
A natural nude, with a touch of pink.
A tawny-rose pink shade.
A natural peachy brown.
After you have outlined the lips with the lip cheat, Charlotte recommends you then colour the whole lip in with the pencil to create the perfect base for your lipstick, and help it last longer.
This is something i have always done with Pillow Talk, and what i plan to do with all the above. I will then simply add a little lip balm over, for a quick natural barely there make-up look.
From all the above i must say that the The Duchess lipstick and Bond Girl Lip Cheat have been the two products i haven’t been able to put down. But i am so excited to wear The Queen and Legendary Queen when i go on my holli-bobs next month.
