I am so excited to share this post with you today.
My love for Pixi Beauty is well known. Their Glow Tonic, Glow Peel Pads and Mud Cleanser are some of my favourites products from their skincare line.
So you can imagine my excitement when this parcel landed on my desk!
Have you ever seen such a pretty packaged parcel of goodies? It is like a treasure trove!
Unfortunately this is not available to purchase, which i think is a shame as it’s so beautifully packaged, and it would make an incredible gift for a beauty addict. (All the products are available to buy separately).
Apart from the Pixi lip-balm, i was yet to try any of their make-up products.
Yes, yes, my bad because i ‘think’ the *Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lips are the best formula and finish i have ever tried.
Bold statement, i know. But here is why..
When you unscrew the top and remove the applicator, you will see that the applicator is pretty unique.
The doe foot applicator is shaped like a petal.
Not only aesthetically pleasing, but the petal shape helps to apply the product easily. The petal hugs the lips and this unique shape helps you to cover the lip evenly and with precision. The applicator picks up just the right amount of product to cover the lips, and it feels so comfortable and smooth when swiping across.
Now onto the formula, this is where i get excited.
The majority of us all love a matte lip, but they can be a bit of a pain?
From cracking and drying the lips out. I can count on one hand how many matte formulas i like.
This liquid formula feels so soft and smooth on the lip, it dries quickly but doesn’t leave the lips feeling tight or dry.
As this formula is infused with Rosehip oil, as time progresses the formula still feels comfortable and non-drying on the lips.
But this does not effect the finish in anyway, these are super matte.
They are long lasting (around 4 hours not eating or drinking and 2 if i am eating or drinking) and they don’t transfer.
I am really struggling to pick a favourite shade, initially i adored “Really Rose” but after using all five i really do like each one in their own way.
Pixi claim that all the shades are universal and suit most skin tones, and i agree.
They retail at £16 each, and the shades are as follows:
Au Naturelle: (Peachy Pink Nude)
Matte Beige: (Warm Brown Nude)
Pastel Petal: (Light Brown Nude)
Really Rose: (Rose Nude)
Evening Rose: (Deep Pink/Mauve Nude)
As you can see they all wearable shades. The finish is totally matte and very pigmented, all whilst not budging or drying the lips out.
Pixi do not test on animals, and their products are Paraben free.
What more could you want?
(I will be featuring the Rose Caviar Essence and Rose Flash Balm, on another post soon.)
