I am so excited to post my first blog post of 2018!!
I always have really high hopes for L’Oreal mascaras. I am yet to try one that i have disliked.
The L’Oreal Paris Paradise Mascara was released in July/August 2017, so it’s a pretty new addition to the L’Oreal mascara fam.
This mascara retails at £11.99, and it claims to add intense volume and spectacular length to the lashes.
L’Oreal state the silky smooth formula coats lashes, leaving them feather soft without any flaking.
The brush is large, and initially I found that there was far to much product on the wand.
The first couple of times I used it I had to wipe a lot of product off with tissue paper.
Thankfully as time progressed this did become less of an issue.
When brushing the wand through the lashes the brush feels super soft, and you can feel each bristle hugging and coating each lash.
The glossy black formula is incredibly pigmented.
If like me, you prefer your mascara super black then you will really adore the colour and finish of this formula.
The mascara doesn’t flake and i find it particularly quick and convenient to use on the lower lashes too, as it doesn’t smudge.
It is easy to remove, which is always a very important factor for me as i hate rubbing and scrubbing the eye area.
My favourite element is how this mascara adds a lot of length to my eyelashes, all whilst not clumping the lashes together.
It doesn’t add a huge amount of volume, but this really isn’t an issue for me, as i don’t want anything to dramatic.
My make-up on a day-to-day basis is pretty basic, so this natural finish suits me perfectly.
I do have a few niggles though. As i stated earlier, initially there is far to much product on the wand and as time progresses the formula dries out incredibly quickly.
I have been using it for around three weeks now, and i feel i am not going to get much longer out of it.
But this is my only niggle.
All in all this is a mascara that i really like, and one i would repurchase.
I would say if you like your mascara to look dramatic, then maybe this is not for you.
Have you tried this mascara?
What is your favourite mascara at the mo?
