Today I will be featuring some of my favourite books of the past year.
I feel the majority of us would be happy to find a book or two, in our stockings.
Curled up with a candle, a mug of hot chocolate and a good book.
This is basically the stuff dreams are made of, right?
So if you are after some inspo for the book worms in your life, well look no further.
My favourite blog of all time. The owner Brandon Stanton’s innovative and profound approach to his writing and images, is nothing short of perfection. It’s a photo blog, that features images and interviews collected on the streets of New York. This book is uplifting, interesting and the images are magnificent. A book that you can dip in and out of, and one that will give you all the happy feels.
An uplifting, inspiring and interesting book, that takes you on a journey of self-development.
Wrote by Fearne Cotton, she chats about her journey battling anxiety and depression and tactics and ways that have helped her on the road to recovery.
It engaging, modern, and an enjoyable read.
It is a great companion for those who may be feeling a little lost or struggling.
(I think we can all relate to these feeling now and again).
It helps you to incorporate more positive ways, and in doing this becoming more in tune with yourself, and you dreams, values and happiness.
(Plus how pretty is the cover? So beautiful).
A stunning book of poetry written by Rupi Kaur. I devoured this in one sitting. Rupi explores and writes poems about some very personal issues, alongside some beautiful artwork. This is the first poetry book i had ever read all the way through, and one of my favourite books of this year.
An uplifting and feel good book. A story of a quirky gentleman who loses something very dear to him. From that day forth anything he finds, he keeps and stores. He labels the item with the details of where it was found and when. His aim is to get it back to the rightful owner. A story of love, heartbreak and kindness.
I could not put this book down, and feel every book lover would enjoy it.
Another feel good addictive read.
A family suffers a devastating loss. It takes you on their journey and the trials and tribulations they face rebuilding their lives.
The story flips from the Mother-in-law and Fathers perspective. The story is a journey about dealing with grief.
It is sad, endearing, inspirational and up-lifting.
An easy and enjoyable read and a book that i highly recommend.
So what books would you like to find in your stocking this Christmas?
