I am pretty picky when it comes to subscription beauty boxes, I think the novelty wore off for me when the products featured were either a bucket load of samples, or the brands featured became very repetitive. I purchased the Latest In Beauty Cosmopolitan Holiday Box last year and used everything in it, so I decided to pick it up again this year.
The box is £20, and it has £94 worth of products in, which as you can see are all holiday friendly. I know I will use every product (minus the nail polish) when I am away on my jollies.
So lets get cracking and delve in.
The Wet Brush (shade may vary): I have read nothing but amazing reviews about this brush, I am currently a Tangle Teezer type of gal, but I have a feeling this is going to replace it. RRP £11.99
St Tropez Bronzing Face Sheet Mask: I like St Tropez tan, and I am a bit obsessed with face sheet masks. I don’t sunbathe on holiday, I use fake tan. So i will be giving this a whirl on my next vay-kay. I am hoping it gives me a sun-kissed bronzed glow, all whilst not making my skin appear, or feel dry. RRP: £6.40
Palmers Coconut Lip Balm: A lip balm is always something that I forget when I go on holiday, and something that is needed. Palmers Coconut range smells like holidays, so I think this is going to be just delightful. RRP £1.99
Nails Inc Notting Hill or Abbey Gate Nail Polish: My box featured the Notting Hill shade which as you can see is a bright summery cerise pink shade. I get shellac done before any holiday, so I won’t use this polish but i like Nail Inc polishes, they are great quality. I am sure i will get good use out of this, in the future. RRP £12.00
MUA Luxe Ombre 3 Shade Shimmer Highlighting Stick: Ombre, shimmer and highlight they all scream holiday make-up right? MUA highlighters are usually pretty good, so I have high hopes for this. RRP £4.00
Merci Handy Lollipop Hand Cleansing Gel: I have one of these already and I love it. So handy for on the plane when you want to freshen up and clean your hands. Plus they are so small, cute and smell soooo good. RRP: £2.99
Ladival DNA Repair Aftersun: I have the Ladival Sun Protection Spray and I enjoy using it on me and my son. It feels light and non-greasy on application, and it offers good protection from the sun. I am happy I now have the aftersun. I feel everyone would get good use out of this product. RRP £12.99
Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb Multi-Protecting Hydrating Mist SPF 30: I have reviewed the Garnier Moisture Bomb mask here and I really like the sound of this product, a hydrating mist that offers a SPF of 30. A mist all over ma face that has a high SPF, this is basically me in heaven. RRP £9.99
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water: I have the bigger bottle already, and really like it. I use it to take off my first layer of make-up before I double cleanse. It doesn’t remove heavy make-up – so i feel it’s perfect for when on beach holidays, and make-up is more likely to be quite light anyway. RRP £1.99
Collection Speedy Blush Stick in Pinch Me: I really like these type of sheer, easy to blend blushers in the summer months. The shade is berry and blends into the skin nicely leaving a sheer, glowy, light berry stain. It could also double up as a lippie. RRP £3.99
Eyeko Sport Waterproof Mascara: I tried an Eyeko mascara a while back now, and I wasn’t impressed. It seemed to smudge under my eye. I am hoping that this waterproof version is heaps better. RRP £19
Also included in this box is a cute cosmetic bag. Once i totted it all up sourcing prices individually online, this box comes to a total of £87.33 (some of the products did have offers on certain websites and this is minus the make-up bag). Priced at just £20, you are easy saving £67.33 smack-a-roonies. I think this is a really well thought out purse friendly box, with a wide variety of products.
