Sometimes we can all be a little moody so-and-so? Yes? You with me? (You are totally nodding right now, I just know it!)
Bad days pay us all a visit, from a stressful day at work, an argument with a loved one, a catalogue of unfortunate events, to whacking your little toe on a plug-socket.
(I swear to Lucifer that last one with the plug- socket and toe combo, well it is like taking a bullet.)
So instead of brewing and dwelling on the fact we may just have the worst life ever.
Here are five quick fixes that will be sure to lift our mood.
(Make that six, as you can tell from the title of the book below – this is also a total mood lifter).
Chatting with family or friends: Get on the phone or go visit your bestie, and have a good old moan and groan. Let it all out. Don’t hold back. It is key to share, and let out any sad or angry feelings. Bottling it all up is proven to lead to feelings of anxiety, and higher levels of stress.
SO YES GO MOAN! IT’S GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH!
Cry: If you don’t feel like chatting or sharing your feelings at that time. Then go and have a good cry. Scream, go mental, have a whack of a punch bag if you feel you need to. Crying releases toxins that relieve’s stress, and this in turn will help naturally improve your mood.
CRY ENTHUSIASTICALLY. YOU ARE IN A NUTSHELL – RELEASING TOXINS!
Music: Go blast your favourite tune, embrace the soothing or upbeat melody. Even have a boogie if you can.
“DON’T STOP TILL YOU GET ENOUGH” (SHAMONE)
Music and movement is proven to distract your mind from any moody feelings you may be experiencing, and it helps you to explore your emotions.
Relax: Run a bath, light some candles, pour your favourite bubble bath in and read a book. Soak away your worries. Breathe, relax, reflect on the good in life. A hot bath raises body heat, and this helps regulate moods and feelings of anxiety.
PLUS YOU WILL BE CLEAN AS A WHISTLE AFTER! DOUBLE WAMMY!
Sleep: Lack of sleep is a right mood drainer, it is scientifically proven to cause irritability and stress.

Remember that it is okay to feel low and have bad days, to experience bad days helps us appreciate and savour the good days.
So lets not feel bad for losing our temper, crying, or feeling like an awful person.
WE ARE NOT!
Every single human feels like this now and again.
I will leave you with this quote that I nicked from Gemma Etc’s Instagram.
