I picked up the NYX Brow Contour by mistake, I was meant to pick up the NYX Auto Eyebrow Pencil as I had read so many good reviews about it. I got all confused (nothing new there haha) and just seen NYX and Brow and lashed the wrong one in my basket.
Initially I was so disappointed with the product when I opened it, the crayons nib seemed far to thick, and the highlight shade appeared to be a little dark.
I battled on using the crayon, because I kept on forgetting to order my trusty Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Wiz.
I am glad I did because I have grown to think this product is okay.
The crayon is lightweight in the hand and easy to use. The shade is pigmented. (Pictured below).
I have the shade black/golden peach. My eye-brow hairs are very naturally dark and this seems an okay colour match.
It lasts the day, no problem. (I do always apply a brow gel though, as my brows stray a lot).
Yes the nib is a little thick, but this is actually perfect for my brows – as they are big and bushy.
It fills large areas quickly. The crayon is a rounded shape opposed to a pointed shape. But when the crayon is tilted on the side, it is easy enough to use the sides to create smaller and finer strokes.
I really don’t like the highlight crayon shade or texture, it is cakey on the skin, and to much on the pink side of town for me.
It would take me forever to fill in the thicker part of my brows with the Anastasia Brow Wiz as the nib was so thin, I know a thin nib suits most people, but if you have thick brows I feel the NYX Professional Makeup Sculpt & Highlight Brow Contour, priced at £8 is a decent budget friendly product for you to try.
I find it perfect to use when in a rush, and I am wanting to get my make-up done quick.
All in all, not the best brow product I have ever tried but not the worse either.
