I love Bath & Body Works candles I recently mentioned them in my Getting Ready For Autumn post, but they don’t stock them here in the UK, which is a proper pain in the bum. So when I read The Sunday Girls Blog last week, Adrienne was raving about 2 candles from B&M, yes B&M, that were apparently really good dupes of Bath & Body Works, so I trotted on down to my local B&M to see if I could pick any up.
I found ONE, just one, it was called Radiant Red Maple. I was so expecting to pick up a trolly full, but someone had beat me to it. I give it a quick sniff, and liked it so off to the till I trotted. (Weighed down with a load of other unnecessary, but super cheap items that I really don’t need, but obvs had to buy).
The packaging is more or less the same as Bath & Body Works, a bright label, heavy bottomed glass and a metal lid. B&M’s version has two wicks opposed to Bath & Body Works that have three, and B&M’s version is smaller.
There was a Radiant Red Maple candle in the 2015 Bath & Body Works collection, so yup this is a total rip-off. I have never smelt the Bath & Body Works one to compare, but I really like this one so far.
Bath & Body Works describes their Radiant Red Maple Candle scent as follows:
“The aroma of crisp red McIntosh apples, smoky woods and a hint of toasted marshmallows bring a feeling of fall into the air”
B&M’s version has a sweet and woody scent so does sound similar, I am enjoying lighting it of an evening, it is a pleasant scent to move into Autumn with, the sweetness and woodiness aroma is balanced well. I have burnt it a couple of times and the wax burns evenly, and the aroma it kicks out is fairly decent.
For £2.99, I REPEAT £2.99, I will 100% be on the hunt – and trying to pick more up from the range.
Have you tried any of these candles?
