Dior Skin Nude Air Tan Powder Review

Last year i was invited along to a Dior masterclass at Debenhams in Liverpool 1, and even though i wanted everything i laid my eyes on.

One product stood out by a mile, this beautiful Dior Nude Air Tan Powder.

When the make-up artist applied the Dior Skin Nude Air Powder on the model, it completely transformed the whole make-up look.

Chiselled defined cheekbones and a natural sun-kissed glow was unveiled, and well i knew there and then that i “needed” this product in my life.

I went on about this product SO much, Mother dearest was a total ledge and got me it for Christmas.

Dior Nude Air Tan Powder Review

Described as the ultimate finishing touch to create a fresh and radiant face. It is enriched with transparent pigments and airy powders that are invisible to the naked eye, but provide the perfect shade without altering the natural skin-tone.

Oh and just look at that packaging.

Wowzers!

The bronzer is packaged in the classic signature Dior box. It includes a pouch to store the bronzer in, and a kabuki brush.

The powder is embossed with the writing Nude Air, and housed in a sturdy heavy silver round pan, and a round mirror in the lid.

My thoughts…

There are four shades available in the range. I have shade 001 Golden Honey, it is described as a healthy glow sun powder.

The powder is a warm toned light tan shade, and it has super fine warm gold glittery particles laced throughout.

When applied to the skin, the the glitter particles are so fine that they translate to the skin naturally – and create a warm iridescent glow.

The powder adds definition and a sun-kissed glow in a subtle and radiant way. It’s incredibly finely milled, and feels velvety and smooth when you apply it.

When i have applied fake tan i find this shade in particular a little light to use to contour, but not all is lost.

I do find when i have tanned, that this is the perfect setting powder.

If you have dry skin, well you know the struggle we face when it comes to using powder make-up products.

Powders can sit in fine lines, or highlight dry patches. Even with a heavy hand, this powder is yet to do any of the above.

It works with the skin beautifully and seamlessly. It is the most natural, light and flattering powder that i have had the pleasure of trying.

Bronzers are such a tricky product, they can either be to dark, neutral, or to cool toned.

I find warm toned bronzers work best on my skin-tone, i crave that natural sun-kissed golden glow. All-day every-day.

Whilst i wouldn’t say that this is a bold and striking bronzer like lets say Benefit Hoola. I can’t help but really like the simplicity that comes with the Dior powder.

You could never go OTT with this product because the shade is so flattering and the formula is light as air.

I could apply this in the dark, and happily walk around all day knowing it looks good.

It’s the perfect finishing touch. I really like how my face looks when i wear it.

If you are a little scared of bronzers, then i feel this would be the perfect option for you.

So yes initially an expensive splurge. (35 of the queen pounds, gulp)

But in my humble opinion a very tidy investment, and a beautiful addition to any make-up lovers collection.

A X
