I am totally in love with the shades of the lipsticks i will be sharing with you today.
When they landed on my desk i started dreaming of Spring, sunshine and spritzers.
Lipstick Queen is a brand that i can’t get enough of at the mo. I love the creamy formula of their lip products, and their packaging is so eye catching and fun.
Lipstick Queen have recently launched a new line called the Dating Game and there are four beautiful lipsticks to choose from.
The line is fun and vibrant, and the shades are all on the pink side of town.
The lipsticks claim to offer medium coverage, and are enriched with shea butter and vitamin E, so they feel incredibly creamy, rich and silky.
A shocking fuchsia pink with berry and cool undertones.
A bold magenta cool blue undertones.
A bright, warm, rosy pink with hints of coral.
A pink with warm undertones and a rosy blush finish.
The formula of the lipsticks in the Dating Range feel light and comfortable on the lips. They glide along the lip, but they don’t feel as hydrating or creamy as the shades i have tried from their “Nothing But The Nudes” range.
They dry down and feel slightly matte, but still appear luminous. The formula reminds me a lot of the “satin” range from Mac
The shades differ in pigmentation. Good Catch and Mr Right the more neutral shades in the range, appear sheerer on the lips compared to the more vibrant shades Bad Boy and Mr Right Now.
Even though Good Catch and Mr Right appear sheerer when applied to the lips, they are buildable. Bad Boy and Mr Right Now pack quite a punch, and i didn’t feel the need to build up the colour.
As time progresses you can barely feel the formula on the lip.
I apply lipstick at around 8am, and a couple of times i caught myself in the mirror and was surprised to see that there was still a light stain on the lips, even after i had ate my lunch.
Even though they are not as creamy or hydrating as i anticipated, they feel light and non-drying on the lips.
If you are after a lipstick that is easy to apply, doesn’t bleed, feels comfortable on the lips and has good colour pay-off, then i can highly recommend.
Now onto the most important question.
What shade is your favourite?
