Christmas Care Pack Charity Appeal

After the success and support from people in the past years for the Christmas Charity Appeals here on my blog, i am back with another amazing appeal, to help a much needed cause.

The past years appeals can be found here and here. If you want to have a nose.

Christmas Charity Care Pack Appeal
According to the charity Shelter the number of people sleeping rough is not decreasing, but sadly increasing.

This is an heartbreaking and upsetting fact.

An estimated 200 people are sleeping rough in Liverpool, a sharp rise from January 2017, when 40 people were thought to be sleeping rough.

And this figure does not include a large amount of people who are not registered.

The vulnerable people in our society not only go without a roof over their head, but lack basic necessities to stay clean and nourished.

Christmas is the best time of the year. It is a period where we all come together and spend time together, eat and be merry. But for the more vulnerable people in our society, this can be the worst time of year.

And maybe this is where you can help?

Care packs will be distributed by The Secret Kitchen on the 23/12/2017 in Liverpool City Centre. The Secret Kitchen are a group of volunteers who go out weekly and offer fresh, homemade food to people who are homeless and sleeping rough.

If there are any care packs left over, they will be donated to The Whitechapel Charity.

The care packs will include products in a Christmas bag and a Christmas card.

Products included:

  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Deodorant
  • Soap
  • Hand sanitiser
  • Tissues
  • Socks
  • Gloves
  • Lip balm
  • Non perishable food

Christmas Charity Care Pack Appeal

How can you help?

A care pack on average costs around £6-£7, and i am hoping that people may be able to donate half to this.

So £3, then we can get as many care packs made and distributed out onto the streets of Liverpool.

It is a small gesture, and one that may help another in a small way.

I understand a lot of people have charities and appeals they support that are close to their hearts, and may not be able to support this particular appeal.

So i appreciate everyone taking time out to read this post.

I will be sure to keep you updated.
