Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Flawless Wear Concealer Review

I have used Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Flawless Wear Concealer for around 2-3 years now, and i can’t believe i have never featured it here on the blog before.

For crying out loud, it’s my favourite go-to concealer of all time. And one that I feel is incredibly underrated in the beauty world.

The shade i will be featuring today is light, and there is 8 shades in the range.

When i first tried this concealer, i was shocked to find how light, creamy and silky the formula was.

I expected it to be similar to the foundation, which in a nut-shell, is a little thick and heavy.

But damn the coverage and longevity of it, well it’s top notch.

Even though I do love the foundation, i think i love this a lot more.

As i said, the texture is soft and light all whilst offering the coverage that Double Wear foundation does, but it’s so much easier to work with.

Albeit it does dry in record time, so you have to work quickly with the formula. But as it’s so creamy, blending it into the skin is a doddle.

Even though it doesn’t have any hydrating or moisturising properties as such. It feels very comfortable on the skin.

It translates onto the skin as a semi-matte finish. It leaves my skin looking flawless. It doesn’t budge, transfer, or crease. I wear it for around 9 hours and it appears the same at the end of the day, as it did at the beginning.

It covers redness, scars, and leaves my skin looking healthy and radiant.

A little goes a very long way, and as it costs £23.50 the fact it lasts a long time is an added bonus.

How I use it:

  • On good skin days i will ditch my foundation, and just dab a little across my whole face, and blend with a beauty blender.
  • On my not so good skin days, i will use this over my foundation. I use it over spots, redness and any other blemishes.
  • When spots pop by to say hello. I use a small brush and dab it on the spot. I then wait 5 minutes, and then re-apply again. This totally eliminates any redness.

I pretty much use it everyday, it’s a versatile little product. It fits into any type of “skin day” i may be facing.

My skin is “normal” at the mo, but it usually can become drier in the Winter months. Thats if i don’t stay on top of my skincare game.

When my skin is a little drier, I do find it can cling on and emphasise dry skin patches.

So I would say if you have extremely dry skin, then this maybe is not for you.

But apart from this issue, well as you can gather, i rather love it.

Have you ever tried this concealer?

If not, pop to a counter and have a try.

I assure you, you will not be disappointed.
