The Pixi Skincare Product Picks

I haven’t tried a Pixi skincare product that I didn’t like. I love the simplicity of this brand, and I adore the fact that their products are purse friendly. I have three products I am using from them in my current skincare routine, and thought I would do a mini synopsis of each for you today.

Pixi Glow Tonic

I have dry, dull skin and I use it this tonic most mornings after i have washed and cleansed. I douse a cotton pad and wipe it all over my face. It feels refreshing, soothing and it dries quickly into the skin.

Enriched with 5% glycolic acid it lightly exfoliates the skin, by removing dead skin cells, in turn leaving skin appearing healthy, taught and smooth. I couldn’t be without it in my morning skincare routine, and if you have dry or dull skin then i highly recommend you try. You can buy 100ml for £10, if you want to sample it before you purchase the larger bottle.

Caroline Hirons & Pixi 2 in 1 Cleanser

Marketed as a PM cleanser, it’s sectioned into 2 parts, a solid oil and a luxe cleansing cream. Both are unscented. The solid oil is used first to break down any make-up or dirt on the skin. You massage a coin size amount onto the skin, and remove with a cloth. The cream cleanser is used in the same way to remove any residue, dirt or make-up left behind. Both parts feel really lovely, soothing and nourishing on the skin.

Following this easy two step formula results in the skin becoming squeaky clean, and feeling super soft. Each product has a range of ingredients from Vitamin C to Primrose Oil that help nourish, heal and moisturise the skin. I like the simplicity of the product, it gets the job done all make-up and dirt is removed, it’s a really enjoyable experience. Each pot has 50ml of each product, and priced at £24 i feel this will last me around a month. It’s not the cheapest cleanser out there, but i personally feel it’s totally worth it.

Pixi Glow Peel Pads:

These pads are a bit more than I would usually spend on facial pads, priced at £24 for 60 pads (40p per pad).

The pads are round, and pre-soaked with the product. The pad is packed with 20% glycolic acid to reveal brighter, healthier and radiant skin. They are also enriched with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera to nourish and soothe.

I have regular facial peels, so I am used to acids on my skin, and these left it feeling a tingly and a tad uncomfortable. They are potent, but in a really good way. My skin is glowing straight after I use them.

I have found that my skin appears smoother, Spots, blackheads, fine lines and other skin perfections have reduced drastically.

These are a pimped up version of the Glow Tonic, and as they are so potent. I prefer to use these of a night, as this is when our skin cells repair and rebuild.

As they have such a high glycolic content, the skin is a lot more sensitive to UV rays. If you do use them of a morning, be sure to pop on a high SPF after.

If you haven’t exposed your skin to acids before, I would recommend you start of with their Glow Tonic To-Go Pads.

These have just 5% glycolic acid in.
