L’Oreal Micellar Water Review

I use micellar water every evening, I much prefer it over facial wipes. I enjoy using them because I prefer soft cotton pads on my skin, opposed to a wipe. I also like using a micellar water as it helps remove the majority of make-up, in a quick and effective way. The skin is then more or less clean, and your cleanser can then do its thang, like removing oil, dead skin cells and other type of pollutants that can be on the skin.

This L’oreal Micellar Micellar Water in a nut-shell, is a bit alright. It is hypoallergenic so unlikely to cause an allergic reaction, and is free from perfume or alcohol. I picked it up in Superdrug, priced at £4 and for a generous 400ml of product – it’s a total bargain.

This micellar water has a light floral scent, and it doesn’t dry my skin, or leave it feeling tight. It feels really gentle and mild on the skin. It doesn’t leave a greasy or oily residue behind either.

I douse three large oval pads with the micellar water, and use one to wipe across my eyes. 90% of the time i only wear mascara and eyebrow pencil. This micellar water removes the majority with ease. I then use the remaining two pads to wipe across my face and neck.

If i have heavy eye-make up on, this struggles a little to remove it. In all honesty, I have never found a micellar water apart from Bioderama, that does budge heavy eye make-up.

All in all it’s a great product. If you are after a quick effective way to remove your make-up, and have sensitive or dry skin then this product is for you. I highly recommend. It’s affordable, gentle on the skin, removes make-up, and is easy to source.
