Marc Jacobs Decedence Divine

The amount of people who commented on the perfume I was wearing last year, well if I had a penny and all that.

It was Marc Jacobs Decadence, and as soon as I wiffed it I fell in love.

This year I got its sister Marc Jacobs Decadence Divine for Christmas.

It looks exactly the same in terms of packaging, but the whole colour scheme is now edging towards a lighter shade of green, and the base of the bottle where the scent is held is clear.

So first up the packaging is unique, and you will either love it or hate it, (I personally love it) and I feel the scent is similar.

It is floral and fresh, but with a very distinct and strong scent – here is the breakdown:

Top notes: Champagne, Orange Blossom, Bergamot

Heart notes: Gardenia, Hydrangea Accord, Honeysuckle, Iris

Base notes: Saffron, Vanilla, Liquid Amber.

In all honesty, I don’t know what half of the above smell like, but I personally can detect strong citrus, (Orange Blossom & Bergamot) and the mouth watering crisp scent of champagne, all laced with a hint of vanilla.

It is similar to the original Decadence fragrance, but I feel this is a lot lighter overall, and more day-time appropriate.

I love both, and would advise having a spritz when wandering around the perfume counters.

I said it above, but I have never in my life had so many people ask what perfume I was wearing, and I think that fact perfectly sums up this review. Now go, get spritzing.
